It would be hard for me to learn math any other way now. We've been trained the "textbook way" for too long. The textbook way is mass production, it teaches more kids and faster. Interesting and great ideas though, just needs time.
This also relates to "Outliers" Students who succeed are the ones who will persist through problems and work on it for a long time. Most students give up around 30 s & I'm not surprised.
